Vista Host, a nationally recognized hotel management company with over 35 properties nationwide, is seeking a Director of Salesfor the Hampton Inn and Home 2 Suites, on the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk. “Blending these two category-leading brands and their signature, yet unique, identities under one roof further propels our commitment to providing quality lodging options to meet a wide variety of styles, travel needs and desired price points.”

Conveniently located on the San Antonio Riverwalk, the hotels offer guests easy access to Pearl Brewery, San Fernando Cathedral, as well as famous Riverwalk restaurants and entertainment. Steeped in local culture, the property is only steps from some of the most historic landmarks in Texas.

 

The Director of Sales position calls for a dynamic, aggressive and outgoing sales professional who recognizes the importance of direct selling, building and maintaining relationships, outside sales calls, effective prospecting, internet marketing strategies, community involvement, civic responsibilities and integration with operations.  Revenue Management experience and expertise complement all strong candidates. Prior Hilton experience is beneficial but not critical. Experience within the San Antonio market is preferred but not required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Hotel leadership; including developing and executing strategic and proactive direct sales efforts.
  • Work with the team on developing and executing a strong pricing and revenue management program.
  • Meet or exceed top-line revenue and RevPAR Index goals
  • Direct Sales
  • Motivate, evaluate, and review sales personnel; communicate company goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Hotel sales experience
  • High motivation and high energy
  • Outgoing personality and great people skills
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Aggressiveness
  • Strength in direct sales
  • Knowledge of local area and contacts strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of revenue management
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
